The Montero AS offers a huge amount of fun and adventure. This short-turn all-mountain slalom ski takes agility to a whole new level. With the Allmountain Core and Tip & Tail Flex technology, the ski is very playful. A softer flex and torsion on the shovel and tail gives the AS fine precision when entering and exiting the turn. It remains stable, is reliable and is the perfect ski for trying out new things on the slopes. With a waist of 76 mm, the Montero AS is ideal for short to medium radii. Whatever the conditions, your day on the slopes is sure to be a highlight.

Features:

  • Full Edge Contact- The widest points of the ski are set further forward or back. This makes the shovel grip faster and the part of the edge in contact with the snow when the ski is titled becomes longer. Benefits includes, easier, faster turn initiation, improved grip in the turn due to the longer contact area
  • Solid Metal Edge- wider than conventional edges. This not only increases service time of the ski, but also pays off in the rental/lending sector, where the equipment is subjected to particularly heavy use. A wider edge also makes a ski a little more stable. Benefits include, longer service life, reduced susceptibility to damage, more grinding possible, and increased stability.
  • Adaptive Contact Length- The widest point on the shovel is set further forward. Together with a slight rocker ( more gradual up-bend of the shovel), the more the ski is tilted, the further forward the contact point of the edge with the snow moves. This preserves its nimble characteristic without sacrificing stability and grip during the turn. The benefits are higher stability and sense of security, and playful and good-natured at lesser tilt angles.
  • Tail Rocker- A longer rocker at the tail with a flatter radius. Benefits include the edge is in contact with the snow is decreased, making the ski more playful. The longer rocker enables optimum grip when edging.
