Frequently Asked Questions

You should bring water, a towel, sunscreen, sunglasses or a hat. If you plan to bring your phone with you on the SUP, make sure to put it in a waterproof container.

When it comes to clothing we recommend shorts, yoga pants, or a bathing suit, basically anything that dries quickly. Avoid cotton. Wear water shoes or footwear that can get wet. Always wear your PFD according to state and local laws.

All classes include a paddle board, paddle, PFD, whistle and instruction. SUP Yoga classes also include an anchor.

Paddle board rental packages include a BOTE brand inflatable SUP with PA launch permit, paddle, PFD, hand pump, and backpack. An electric pump is available to be added to your rental to inflate your board in less than 10 minutes.

The BOTE brand inflatable paddle boards that we use in class are rated with a weight capcity up to 315 lbs.

Yes! We offer private Intro to Paddle Boarding and SUP Yoga lessons for groups up to 12. Contact us to inquire about private lesson pricing and availability.

Both classes are 90 minutes in length and start on land with a brief introduction followed by an instructor-led demonstration on the water. For the intro to paddle boarding class attendees will be guided through the process of standing up on their paddleboard and covering multiple stroke techniques to maneuver on the water. During the SUP yoga class attendees will instead drop anchor and be guided through a gentle 60-minute yoga practice before returning to land.

You can paddle board on just about any body of water! We recommend paddle boarding on lakes or ponds where there is minimal boat traffic. You can also paddle board on bays, oceans and rivers where the conditions permit.

You do not need to swim while paddle boarding, however, you do need to know how to swim in case of an emergency.

Falling off your paddle board isn’t a common occurrence, but it can happen on occasion. Your instructor will guide you through the scenarios where this may occur and will provide personal guidance to ensure safety wherever possible.
