• Light Core & Super Light Core- Particularly light European wood Species are deployed in the all-mountain, freeride/off-piste and touring segments. This makes the core a little softer and supller, which lends the ski dynamism and makes it very durable. Benefits are reduced weight due to ultralight core, dynamic ski response and very durable. 
• Solid Metal Edge- Wider than conventional edges. This not only increases the service life of the ski, but also pays off in the rental/lending sector, where the equipment is subjected to particularly heavy use. A wider edge also makes the ski a little more stable. The benefits are longer service life, reduced susceptibility to damage, more grinding possible, and increased stability. 
• Softflex- The individual layers are thinner and some models feature lighter mate5rial. This lends the ski a softer flex. Light skiers, especially, benefit from the enhanced bending characteristics which offer enhanced enjoyment with less effort. Benefits of Softflex are, optimal ski deflection, less effort required for improved comfort, and reduced weight. 
• Turtle Grip- New surfaces on Laser X models. Slightly nubby texture creates a matte/shiny surface that imparts an elegant look to the design. The top graphics layers is also rugged. Benefits are nicer feel and a real eye-catcher. 
• Adaptive Contact Length- the widest point on the shovel is set further forward. Together with a slight rocker (more gradual up-bend of the shovel), the more the ski is tilted, the further forward the contact point of the edge with the snow moves. This preserves its nimble characteristics without sacrificing stability and grip during the turn. Benefits are  the greater the tilt, the higher the stability and sense of security and playful and good-natured at lesser tilt angles.  
• Tail Rocker- A longer rocker at the tail with a flatter radius. Benefits are the edge in contact with the snow is decreased, making the ski more playful and it enables optimum grip when edging. 
• Turtle shell- the cut-outs in the Titanal lend torsion neutrality and effortless skiing at a low speed on easy slopes. At higher tempos and rough slopes the Titanal cutouts interlock. With these cut-outs, the ski is more stable, smoother, and thus lends more security. The benefits are torsionally neutral and smooth at leisurely paces and on simple slopes. Athletic and stable at higher tempos on rougher slopes.
