This is a review of one of my favorite Capita boards for the 2025 East Coast riding season: the Capita Spring Break Resort Twin. I got to review this snowboard when I went with the Ski Shack team to Stratton, VT, for the annual 2025 Capita Board demos.
However, the truth is that I was already very familiar with this board because I actually owned and had been riding the 2024 Capita SB Resort Twin back home in Pennsylvania. I even wrote a very in-depth review of this board over on my snowboard news website, Board of the World.
Product URL: Capita Spring Break Resort Twin Snowboard 2025
Review Rating: 8.76 / 10
Board Reviewed: The 2025 Capita Spring Break Resort Twin 154cm.
Board Flex Rating: 5
How the Flex Feels: It feels like a 5 from nose to tail flex and 6.5 flex trying to twist it torsionally.
Bindings Used: The 2024 Union Ultra Bindings in size medium
Rider Weight: 144
Rider Height: 5' 6"
Conditions Rode In: (Everything the East Coast can throw at you) I rode the 2025 version on a late January day with a light layer of 1" soft powder on top of Vermont's finest hard pack.
I also rode the 2024 version for over 40 days in every type of East Coast condition ranging from groomers, to ice, to icy jump lines, to powder,.
What's new for the 2025 Capita Resort Twin?
The 2025 version of the board's technical specs contains nothing new other than the new graphic.
That said, it does come in three new sizes.
-
A smaller 152cm version
-
A 155 wide version
-
A 155 wide version
Does the 2025 version of the Resort Twin ride differently than the 2024?
Not at all. These are identical snowboards just with a different graphic.
What makes the 2025 Capita Spring Break Resort Twin great for East Coast riding?
The Resort Twin is one of those all-mountain freestyle boards that seems like it was designed specifically for us "East Coasters." The board's two main construction highlights make it perfect for riding the firmer, icier conditions we get here in Pennsylvania.
-
The nose and tail have V-shaped carbon fiber booster rods that give this board a massive level of power and pop. Capita calls these rods their "Carbon V-tech Amplifiers."
-
The Death Grip Sidecut built into the edges of this snowboard is an extra contact point notch added to both the toe and heel sides of this board to allow it to grip ice conditions.
After that, the board has a perfect shape and profile to accommodate the crummier conditions we encounter here on the East Coast. Capita calls the profile the "Resort V2 Profile." It's a camber-dominant profile with the slightest bit of reverse camber just outside the bindings in the nose and tail. The benefit of having the hybrid profile is that you get the power of a positive camber deck between your feet with a slightly less catchy nose and tail.
So, where does the board shine?
The Spring Break Resort Twin is a board meant to hit the icier East Coast (PA, VT, NY, and ME) trails and parks. Its explosive pop makes it the perfect board for hitting jumps. Its flex pattern makes it feel pressable for jibbing. However, it leans more toward the jump than the jib line in the park.
(So if you carve and jump more than you jib, the Resort Twin will be perfect for you.)
Where does the board not shine?
While the board carves exceptionally well, at very high speeds, you feel chatter.
If you want to rip it extremely fast, you will feel some chatter. It's not noticeable at normal speeds. However, if you were trying to bomb rutted-out terrain at 45+ mph, you would feel the bumps you're riding over.
What type of East Coast rider is the Capita SB Resort Twin designed for?
This board is for the East Coast rider who wants an intermediate-level board that can do it all. It's specifically designed for the rider who wants to carve, launch off jumps, and jib rails and boxes.
Steve's Review Rating of the 2025 Resort Twin
You can read my full in-depth Capita 2025 Spring Break Resort Twin review to learn more about my scoring system. I ultimately scored the Resort Twin with an 87.5 out of a possible 100.
This is the perfect board for any Pennsylvanian rider who wants a board that can carve all over the resort, and it still holds up to the demands of riding in the park.
Pros
-
Tons of Pop for Launching Off Jumps - Has a proper twin freestyle shape that's ready to rip.
-
Excellent Grip for Carving Ice and Groomers - The death grip side cut works exceptionally well on ice.
-
Makes Spinning Off Jumps Feel Easier - The board has elevated contact points.
-
Jibs Really Well For a Mid Flexing Board
-
Sustainable/ Eco-friendly Option
Cons
-
You feel some chatter in at higher speeds.
-
The carbon in the tips makes this board difficult to butter compared to similar boards. It's easy to nose press yet hard to twist torsionally for butters.
So, is this board worth getting for East Coast riders?
Absolutely. The 2025 Capita Spring Break Resort Twin snowboard is perfect for the icy conditions we ride here on the East Coast. It has a phenomenal level of edge hold and power that allows you to take it for carving laps as well as through the jump line of the park.
